Small Dog HouseA small dog house is one that is designed for the smaller dog breeds, such as: Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Scottish Terrier, Shih Tzu, Toy Poodle and the Beagle. There are a number of small dog houses on the market, including a number of models designed for indoor use and others with fancy touches such as lofts and railings. Regardless of design, the house should be just big enough for your dog to enter, turn around, and lie down. Anything larger is at your discretion, but body heat retention during the winter could be an issue depending on the severity of the winters in your area. Bigger is not always better when it comes to dog houses.
